Patna: People who book a room to stay or banquet hall to organize functions at the Patna Hotel must now sign a declaration that they will obey the law of the prohibition.
In terms of online bookings, it would be the responsibility of the hotel to make their customers realize the policy of “not liquor” state and get a declaration signed from them before they check-in.
The New Order was issued by the Commissioner of the Division of Patna Kumar Sanjay Kumar.
Agrawal and General Inspector (IG) from Police Sanjay Singh at a meeting attended by DM Chandrashekhar Singh and SSP UK Sharma on Thursday.
All hotels are also asked to display a pulse-free number issued by the government for complaints related to violations of ban law.
The pulse-free number has also been displayed in several leading places of the city.
The government has explained that the complainant identity will be kept secret.
Agrawal asked DM and SSP to act hard against complaints from sending liquor at home.
“Identification of people spoiled in this illegal trade, taught those places and carried out a surprise attack to bring the perpetrators to order,” he said.
