While the city has met at least two criteria needed to impose a red warning, the Chair of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal has assured that the Delhi government has no intention of imposing locking.
“Given the increase in a positive case, it was decided to close the restaurant and bar and allow only Takeaway facilities.

The source said there was a discussion about whether the capacity of Delhi Metro seating and public transport buses was reduced from now of 100% to 50%, while not allowing passengers to stand.
“However, it was decided that reducing the number of passengers also mean increased crowding at the bus stop and outside the metro station,” said an official.
The official added that the decision to close the restaurant and bar was taken to avoid the spread of infection, but takeaways were allowed so that people could continue after buying food and no meeting.
This will ensure that their livelihoods employed in the restaurant are not fully affected.
LG tweeted that officials are advised to strictly ensure wearing masks and compliance with social distance in the market and other public places to break the transmission chain.
“The health department is advised to make adequate arrangements for additional workers in hospitals and to increase vaccination efforts, including those aged 15-18 years,” he added.
He also shared that the department was also recommended to take positive messages to obtain community support and advise residents to panic reactions.
“All stakeholders are called to work in a coordinated manner to deal with pandemics,” said Baijal.
On Sundays, Kejriwal said that there was no need for a kuncian if everyone wore a mask.
He urged Delhies not to come out unless necessary and wear a mask without fail.
“We don’t want to wear a kuncian and we also have no plans to do it.
We don’t want to inhibit anyone’s daily bread,” he added.
