Lucknow: Samajan Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati on Sunday said taking BSP “Turncoats” into the fold will not help the Samajwadi Party (SP) increase the mass base and will only weaken it.
Mayawati’s statement was almost no hours after SP Chairman Akhilesh Yadav shot Lalji Verma and Rama Rajbhar in his party in the ‘Janadesh Maharally’ in Ambedkarnagar district on Sunday.
Both previous leaders were expelled by BSP for “anti-party” activities.
In a series of Hindi tweets, Mayawati said that the inclusion in SP would only weaken SP and facilitate her party workers.
“SP must know that by taking selfish hopper, ticket seekers, in his fold will only make his workers angry, many of them relate to BSP.” These people will cause severe damage to the party from the inside during the poll, ” He said.
He also offered advice to his own party workers and said they had to refrain from getting tickets to members who were not satisfied from the other party and preferred only fellow party workers.
In 2017 the election of assembly, Lalji Verma had won from Katehari Seat, while Ramachal Rajbhar wins from the Constituency of Assembly Akborpur.
Before the expulsion of the party, Verma was the leader of the BSP legislative party in the State Assembly, and Rajbhar was the Head of the State BSP.
