KABUL: New Foreign Minister Afghanistan Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi has called for sanctions to be appointed against ‘Islamic Emirates’.
Speaking at Presser in Kabul, Muttaqi on Tuesday called Afghan’s expatriates to return home to help develop the country, Ariana News reported.
He said the Islamic Emirates were willing to work with all countries including the US but made it clear, they “would not be dictated for”.
Muttaqi added, “We cannot allow sanctions or embargo” to be worn on Afghanistan.
Last week, the Taliban formed a temporary “Islamic Emirate”, referred to in his new government government which oversees the fight against the US-headed military coalition.
Cabinet members consist of many Taliban leaders in the UN sanctions list.
Taliban have announced the rule of caregivers of the Afghan Islamic Emirates, giving Mullah’s name Mohammad Hassan Akhund as temporary prime minister and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, a founder of his group, as his representative.
