New Delhi: After a day of consultation, the Taliban has nominated Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund as the head of the new country, according to senior leaders, said a media report.
They said the new government would likely be installed on Wednesday, “or maybe delayed for several days”, international news reported.
“Ameerul Momineen Sheikh Hibiballah Akhundzada has proposed mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund as Raes-e-Jamhoor, or Raees-ul-wazara or the head of the new Afghan head.
Mullah Baradar Akhund and Mullah Abdus Salam will work as deputies,” a senior Taliban leader told the news.
The report said three Taliban leaders confirmed the nomination Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund.
Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund is currently the head of the strong Taliban decision body, Rehbari Shura or the leadership of the council.
He belongs to Kandahar, where Taliban birth, and is among the founders of armed movements, the report said.
“He worked for 20 years as the head of Rehbari Shura and won a very good reputation.
He is a religious leader than a military background and is known for his character and devotion,” other Taliban leaders said.
He said Mullah Hasan remained close to Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada for 20 years.
According to the Taliban, Mullah Hasan has worked in an important position during their previous government in Afghanistan.
He is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and then made the Deputy Prime Minister when Mullah Mohammad Rabbani Akhund was the prime minister.
Likewise, the Taliban said Taliban veteran leader Sirajuddin Haqqani, Head of the Haqqani network, was proposed as a federal interior minister, the report said.
He has also been authorized to nominate the governor for the eastern province, from which the Haqqani network is used to draw its strength.
They are Pakts, Paktika, Khost, Gardez, Nangarhar and Lunar.
Likewise, Mullah Yaqoob, the son of the Founder of Taliban Mullah Mohammad Omar, has been approved as Afghan defense minister.
Mullah Yaqoob was a student of Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada in his mad and renamed him close to him.
According to the Taliban source, Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada always respected Mullah Yaqoob because of his father’s dedication and Yaqoob for his work.
Sheikh Habibul, who appointed Mullah Yaqoob as commander on the head of their armed fighters and then chose him as the head of a strong military commission, the report said.
Mullah Yaqoob personally led the armed campaign recently and first began to take over rural areas, including districts, and then decided to capture the provinces throughout the country.
People who are close to Mullah Yaqoob told the news that he would slight sleep during surgery and depend on drugs.
Several senior Taliban leaders then advised him by taking too much pain.
Also, according to the Taliban source, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid was previously assigned to be appointed as the minister of new information but the leadership changed his mind and decided to involve him as a spokesman for the Head of State, Mullah Hasan Akhund.
Mullah Ameer Khan Muttaqi has been nominated as a new foreign minister, according to the Taliban source.
People in the Taliban say there are some small problems for certain responsibilities, which, they claim, have been resolved, the report said.
