Islamabad: An explosion hit a minivan in the Shia neighborhood in West Kabul Wednesday, killing at least one person and injuring three other people, a Taliban official said.
Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information in the Taliban-led government, told the Associated Press that the investigation continued.
He did not describe.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the explosion.
The Islamic group claimed responsibility for the explosion on Saturday which killed one person and injured five others.
This is the third explosion in Kabul for the past week.
A roadside bomb crashed into a taxi in Kabul Monday, injuring two people.
The country also struggles with increased poverty after the Taliban takeover in August.
Wednesday morning, the Taliban Foreign Ministry urged the US Congress in an open letter to release Afghan assets, which were blocked after takeover.
“American sanctions do not only play chaos with trade and business but also with humanitarian aid,” said the statement.
