Taliban prevent border fences with Pakistan intended to divide Pashtuns: Reports

Islamabad: The recent incident on the Afghanistan-sir border has turned on the old edition of the Durand line which is expected by Pakistan to be completed with the Taliban which holds control in Kabul.
On Friday, Khaama’s press news agency reported the second incident in the past when the local Affiliate Taliban said that they stopped the Pakistani military from establishing a barbed wire fence and post in Afghanistan.
Pakistani military personnel reportedly wanted to build their posts in the land of Afghanistan in the Chahar District of Sukjak in Nimroz Province.
The Pakistani military rose to 15 kilometers in Afghanistan and wanted to build an examination post, an eyewitness and residents of the border district, according to a report.
Likewise, on December 22, the Afghan Taliban had disturbed a fence built by Pakistan in Nangahar Province on the Durand route.
Toronto-based Think Tank Tank, International Forum for Rights and Security (IFFRAS) said that this was an illustration of one festering wound which continued to involve Afghanistan and Pakistan bilaterally.
The 2,600 km of Durand line fence remains a controversial problem between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The Government of Ashraf Ghani had objected to the border fence and Afghanistan even then tried to stop Pakistan from establishing a fence.
However, Pakistan continued with the fence.
Pakistani media reports said that 90 percent of the border with Pakistan now stands fenced.
“The fence is part of the Pakistani border mechanism that has worked for years, not only to regulate people’s movements but also to deny terrorists the opportunity to move across the border freely,” IFFRAS said.
According to Think Tank, the real reason for Pakistan for the border fence is to divide Pashtun.
Pashtuns as an ethnic group straddled between the border of Pak-Afghanistan.
In Afghanistan, they are 42 percent of the population.
Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the Pashtun population is 25 percent.
Highlighting Irony How Pashtun lives on both sides of the border, Think Thank you to the Pakistani people have chosen to divide these people by building a fence across the border stretch.
“Pakistan has chosen to recognize the Durand line while Afghanistan, both in the past and currently refuses to recognize it as an international border between Afghanistan and Pakistan,” IFFRAS said.
Previously in September, the position of the Taliban on the Line Durand was revealed by his horse spokesman.
When talking to Pashto channels in Pakistan, Zabiullah Mujahid said Afghanista opposed the fence founded by Pakistan along the line of Durand.
“The new Afghan government will announce its position on this problem.
The fence has separated people and divides the family.
We want to create a safe and peaceful environment on the border so there is no need to create obstacles,” Mujahid said.
