KABUL: Taliban said that only management of technical operations at Afghan Airport will be contracted while general management will be led by the Afghan government, reporting local media.
The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Afghanistan (MOTCA) said that negotiations on the management of the technical problems of the Afghan Airport were taking place between the Afghanistan team and delegates from Qatar and Turkey, reported ToloNews.
Ministry officials also stated that the final decision would be carried out in the next two weeks.
Imamuddin Ahmadi, ministry spokesman, said that the temporary government would not provide complete management of state airports to anyone who but the contract would be carried out on the technical matters of international airports with standard and international companies, according to ToloNews.
A spokesman also informed that some technical team members had also been infected with Covid-19.
He also said that negotiations had been postponed when officials went for a new year’s vacation.
However, the technical team is related, so the final decision can be achieved, Ahmadi said.
