Kabul: Taliban said that 150 people had died in flooding in Northeast Northeast Northeast Province Afghanistan.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, offered a little information on Thursday about death the day before.
A spokesman for the Provincial Governor, Mohammad said Mohmand, said the water had flooded the designed village, destroying at least 100 houses.
Mohmand said he had received a report about 60 dead but said that the death toll possibly much higher.
Nuristan is a mountainous area and the Taliban controlling the great plot of this province.
Mohmand said dozens of families escaped from the floods to the adjacent Kunar area.
The Nuristan government appeals to the Taliban to allow rescue teams to their regions to offer assistance, he added.
The Taliban controls or holds sway around half of Afghanistan.
Since the withdrawal of US and NATO troops announced from the country, the rebel power has swept by dozens of districts.
It is not clear how well equipped with Taliban to deal with emergencies in areas under their control, most of whom are rural areas.
