Taliban speaks in Oslo entering the last day of bilateral format

Oslo: The last day of the talks between Taliban and Western diplomats has begun in Oslo with a bilateral meeting with Norwegian government officials who mostly focus on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
The three-day talks opened on Sunday with talks between the Taliban and Afghan civil society members, followed on Monday by multilateral talks with Western EU, US, UK and host Norwegian diplomats.
Bilateral talks with all parties including independent humanitarian organizations are expected on Tuesday.
Closed meetings took place in a hotel in the mountains covered in snow in the capital of Norway and is expected to cover everything starting from education to humanitarian assistance to greater inclusiveness.
They came at an important time for Afghanistan because frozen temperatures added to the tribal of the lower spiral that had come up with the fall of the US-backed government and the Taliban takeover.
The International Assistance and Institution group estimates that around 23 million people, more than half the state, face severe hunger and almost 9 million are on the threshold of starvation.
People have chosen to sell items to buy food, burn furniture for warmth and even sell their children.
The United Nations has succeeded in providing liquidity and allows the Taliban government to pay imports, including electricity.
Facing Taliban’s request that nearly $ 10 billion is frozen by the United States and other Western countries released, Western forces tend to place women’s rights and girls in Afghanistan high on their agenda, along with Western repeat requests for the Taliban government to share power with Ethnic groups and Afghan religions.
