Kabul (Afghanistan): Taliban on Saturday announced that Afghanistan’s passport, National Identity Card (NIDS) will have the name “Afghan Islamic Emirates” in it.
Deputy Minister of Information and Culture and Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that it was possible for Afghanistan and NIDS passports to have the name “Afghan Islamic Emirates” in it, reported the Khaama press news agency.
Meanwhile, the Afghan Islamic Emirates said that the national identity card and passport issued by the previous Afghan government apply for now.
Deputy Minister of Information and Culture and Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that the documents issued by the previous government, still valid as the country’s legal document, reported the Khaama press news agency.
The passport and NID departments are still closed in Afghanistan and only those who have done their biometric can obtain their passports and nid.
