Talking Point: Should the University continue the Offline Exam

With Madras University instructed to restart the offline exam, another university could follow

Heis can’t be closed forever
The university must take this challenge to return to the offline exam with the preparation of Covid-19 prevention measures.
They must encourage students to attend the test physically and at the same time develop infrastructure and student mindset and faculty for offline class mode and examinations.
Educational institutions cannot be closed forever and there is no substitute for teaching and offline learning.

Formula one size-fitting is not possible
Safe! You have successfully thrown your votelogin to see resultresuming all tests for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in practical offline mode is not possible.
It is recommended to analyze the local situation very naked before it opened.
As we have seen before, countries where the campus reopens, must suffer a lot in terms of infection.
Covid-19 has subsided but has not fully disappeared.
Infections are still reported with less mortality and hospitalization.
All students cannot be called at a time by considering the previous situation.

Ready for both modes
Although there was an increase in Covid-19 situations throughout the country and resumed offline classes with a strict Covid-19 protocol in place, we were ready for online and offline exam mode for UG and PG students.
Our university expects formal communication from the state government and Commission Grant University (UGC) whether it will continue offline exam mode or continue with online mode for regular programs.
– R Vijayaraghavan, test controller (in-fee), Bharathiar University, Coimbatore
Hybrid is feasible
We believe that the hybrid method to do the exam will be more feasible.
Online and offline exams have its own benefits.
Administrators and faculties need to decide the exam mode according to their feasibility.
In the case of offline tests, appropriate precautionary measures need to be implemented by the institution and in terms of online examinations, there must be a conscious investment in technology that can protect against fraud during the examination during the examination.
