Ahmedabad: Four people, including two men, a woman and teenager who had been tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival in the state, had been found carrying the omicron virus variant.
With renewal, the total number of patients with the omicron variant reaches 11 in the state.
Gujarat had eight active cases of variants after the first three cases – all members of the same family from Jamnagar – were sent home early last week.
The wise patient of the district included three of Jamnagar, each two in Surat and Vadodara, and each one in Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Rajkot and Anand.
A 48-year-old man, who has returned from Dubai to the city international airport, has been tested positive on December 15.
The man, anand native, has a history of travel to England.
Since then, he has been accepted into a civil hospital in Ahmedabad and stabilizes, officials said.
Other cases include a 15-year-old child who came to Gandhinagar from England to see his grandfather and a 39-year-old fashion designer from Utran near the letter.
Both are currently accepted in private hospitals in their respective cities and are stable, said State Health Department officials.
Sunday night, a 23-year-old young man from Rajkot, who had returned from Tanzania, was also positively tested.
He was isolated on arrival three days ago and showed signs including sore throat and cold, the district administration said.
