A ‘Odhuvar’ woman (a scholar who sang Tamil’s devotional song) was also given an order to appointments.
This is to mark the 100th day of the DMK government and the promise of pre-polls about the Dravidian Party.
“I am happy to receive an appointment from CM.
It is a long struggle,” said Yoganathan, who was appointed as a priest in a temple in a village in the Tirupur district.
They are among 200-ansap from trained non-Brahmin Archakar, which completes the ‘Junior Saiva Scharkar’ course one year according to religion.
The government of Mr.
Karanganidhi has launched a course in 2007 at six temples in the state, aiming to allow all Hindus to become priests, regardless of their caste.
The DMK regime cannot appoint them in the temple managed by the state because this problem was captured in tangled law.
The trained Archakar gathered under the banner ‘The Tamil Nadu Government Archakar Association’ to fight legal battles, which ended in December 2015 following the Commandment of the Supreme Court.
Achakar is trained, according to the verdict, can be appointed according to religion from their respective temples.
Some protests from trained Archakar demanded work from the Temple of SDM & CE ended in vain.
“To fulfill the Periyar Impian (EV Ramaamy), this government has implemented the Government of the Kalaignar Government (Karukanidhi) which allows all Hindus to become a priest,” Stalin said, after handing over the instructions to 174 people to various posts, including 24 non-Brahmana Archakars trained.
SDM & CE Minister P K Sekar Babu has promised that the government will open its way for women, interested in becoming a priest.
