Chennai: An old woman falls into 40 feet located behind her house in Pamal near Tambaram on Friday.
Fire service personnel and rescue managed to pull it out after fighting about an hour.
The woman was Ranjitam, 70, lived alone in a house in Gandhi Nagar after her husband’s death manickavasagam.
Two of his sons and two daughters were married and lived separately.
Some neighbors hear the crying of Ranjitham around 2:00 p.m.
and see it struggling inside which is located in the backyard of his house.
The firefighting personnel team reaches the place.
The firefighters dropped the stairs to the well and pulled him out.
The well was superficial, and the woman was in the face of the waist.
But the fall pushed it into a surprise.
He was treated at the nearest hospital for his anxiety.
In information, his son and daughter also rushed to the place.
The well has an iron rod installed at the top to prevent anyone fall into it.
Personnel saved the woman through a narrow hole in the iron grille.
Sankar Police Nagar has registered a case and is investigating if he falls into a well accidentally or he has tried to end his life by jumping into the well.
