Tamil Nadu added 1,956 new Covid-19 cases, 28 deaths

Chennai: Tamil Nadu recorded a marginal decline in a daily Coronavirus case with 1,956 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, encouraging the overall calculation to 25.75 lakh.
A total of 28 people surrendered to the virus reduced to 34,317, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
The recovery was lower than new cases, with 1,807 people out in the last 24 hours, an increase of up to 25,20,584 left 20,407 active infections, said a medical bulletin.
Tamil Nadu saw a number of fresh infections with 1,997 cases reported on August 5 after witnessing a slight increase in everyday case.
Since then new infections have declined.
On August 6, the state added 1,985 new cases, while on August 7 was 1,969.
Meanwhile, Coimbatore topped the new infection between districts with 241 people who contracted transmission, followed by Chennai 187, Erode 185, Chengalpet 105.
Ramanathapuram recorded as many as five cases.
A total of 1,60,229 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative number of specimens checked up to 3.86 crores until now, said Bulletin.
As many as 31 districts reported new cases in two digits, while there were no new deaths in 19 districts.
Among the 28 deaths, four without comorbidity or existing diseases, said Bulletin.
