MADURAI / PUDUCHERRY: BJP has canceled the ‘Modi Pongal’ event planned in Madurai on January 12, considering the new Covid-19 limitations announced by the state government.
Party President K Annamalai told reporters in Madurai that as their party was also responsible for the safety of the people and therefore adhering to the rules of the state government.
Prime Minister participation Narendra Modi in an event in Virudhunagar, where he is scheduled to inaugurate medical colleges, will be decided by the state government, Annamalai told reporters.
