BJP Tamil Nadu Unit Secretary General KT Raghavan resigned from the party post on Tuesday after a journalist, Madan Ravichandran, who also belonged to BJP, released an unpleasant video call clip between a man and woman.
The woman’s face has blurred to protect her identity.
As soon as the video was released on social media, the Head of Tamil Nadu BJP K Annamalai said the panel would be formed to investigate the truth.
“This team will learn the truth behind the accusation and will begin the right actions against those who are proven to be accused,” said a statement from Annamalai.
The authenticity of the video has not been determined by an investigative agent.
Ragavan denied anything to do with the video.
“I deny the accusation.
Will face them legally,” Raghavan tweeted.
” I know about videos circulating on social media since morning.
It was released to tarnish me and my party.
I met the President of the State K Annamalai and discussed with him.
I resigned from my party post, “he tweeted.
Annamalai said he had received Raghavan’s resignation.
“I’m sure he will face this problem legally and prove himself,” Annamalai said in a statement.
