Chennai: Topics in Nadu Nadu State Textbook, which recently increased, only covering 82% of the questions submitted in the national eligibility test (NEET), an analysis has revealed.
Instead, in the previous year, 97% of the questions in NEET were covered by textbooks.
This year, of 200 questions, 37 out of the syllabus, said the teacher and expert, added that some framed questions came from topics that were not covered by NCERT.
Of the 50 questions in the zoology, five out of the syllabus, while in botany, 34 questions are in the syllabus.
“From 100 questions, 66 questions are at a moderate level, 34 is difficult.
Students will find the biology section easier if they prepare well,” said an expert.
In physics, of the 50 questions only two who came out of the syllabus and 18 were considered difficult by the teacher.
“Physics requires face-to-face teaching.
Because of cutting syllabus and online coaching, many students have struggled to understand the concepts,” said Rita John, head, the theoretical physics department in Madras University and the domain of physics.
Batch students currently only get a textbook enhanced in class XI, he said.
“The government must introduce concept-based questions in the council exam and annual examinations to improve their performance in competitive exams.
Some questions considered difficult are only different,” he said.
In chemistry, 12 questions are not covered by textbooks.
However, 41 questions in this section are considered easy to moderate.
Gayathiriri, a biology teacher from the city said even though the biology section looked easier, he had several complicated questions.
“Questions must be read back by focusing on keywords.
Better performance key is to avoid unknown questions of students,” he said, adding several questions in the biology part even from NCERT textbooks.
