Trichy: A 10-year-old girl from the region district, which was labeled with a hot spoon by her mother for taking money from a relative home, surrendered to injury at Mgmgh on Sunday.
The girl, a third grade student at the government school, has gone to her relatives’ house in the area on January 6, and was accused of taking RS 70’s cash from home.
Because it was told about the incident, the woman flew to anger.
“Apart from the branding of the girl with a hot spoon, the woman also made her breathe smoke from burning dry red chili,” said a police officer in the Panambal.
The girl suffered an injury in the mouth and her thigh and was originally treated with drugs purchased from a local pharmacy.
When his condition deteriorated, he rushed to Krishnapuram’s government hospital from where he was referred to MGMGH.
Even though he was treated under intensive care, the girl died on Sunday.
It was in November last year that a 10-year-old girl died of burning in Kanyakumari District after it was needed by her stepfather because of stealing a biscuit package from the shop where he was hired.
“A child grows by learning from the environment, the hard punishment will only make the situation worse.
The lack of quality interaction between parents and children can lead to such events,” a Devaneyan, an activist of the rights of children from Chennai, said.
The All-Woman Police (AWPS) screens are investigating incidents based on complaints from village administration officials.
The case has been listed under the CRPC 176 (suspicious death).
The police said they were waiting for the postmortem report to start actions against the mother.
