Tamil Nadu Buses Stop At Karnataka Examination Post

Erode: Following the orders from the Chamarajanagar District Administration along the Karnataka border, police officers at the checkpoint near Gernalam in the Erode Barred bus district of Tamil Nadu from entering Karnataka.

“The Tamil Nadu bus enters Karnataka without problems at other checkpoints, but the police at the examination post near GunMalam did not allow TN buses from Friday,” the passenger said.
He added that officials at the checkpoint allowed passengers to enter neighboring countries only after checking their vaccination certificate.
“Passengers without certificates are asked to return,” he said.
The Tamil Nadu bus enters Karnataka through Pulinjur and Gernalam.
“Tourists, who take the Germalam route, have to walk through the forest reserve area to cross the border,” said S Aravinth, another passenger.
He added that some officers from Karnataka allowed passengers to enter their country only after showing a Covid negative report.
Paying attention to concerns, district administration eroded convincing passengers that officials will take all the necessary steps to start talks with the administrative district of Chamarajanagar in connection with this issue.
