Tamil Nadu: Celebrate Pillai Pillai’s birthday throughout the year, said PMK Founder Samadoss

Coimbatore: Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder of Ramadoss on Sunday urged the state government to celebrate the 150th birthday of Freedom Fighter V O Chidayanar throughout the year.
In a statement, Ramadoss noted that the 190-year anniversary of V O Chidambaram Pillai fell on 5.
He was arrested by England for challenging their strength and submitting to severe difficulties in the coimbatore prison.
“This is the time to pay respect to Him and recognize it.
Starting September 5, the state and central government must celebrate the 150th birthday with events throughout the year planned until September 5, 2022, ” he said.
The event must highlight his struggle against England, His sacrifice and harassment he faced in prison, said Ramadoss.
His life story must be included as a lesson in schools and college textbooks throughout the country, he said.
