Chennai: The State Higher Education Department on Monday ordered all universities, universities, universities that are considered, autonomous colleges, and self-financing institutions throughout Tamil Nadu to begin to hold classes in physical mode for six days a week with direct effects.
The department has postponed the semester exam outside January 20 after students protesting offline detention efforts when the class is done in offline and online mode.
The student body also wants more time to prepare for an offline exam.
Circular issued by the Secretary of Higher Education D Karthikeyan educational institutions to reschedule the theory exam after January 20.
Institutions are asked to conduct examinations, the more colleges have completed their sillabi in online mode to help students understand understanding the subject better.
Institutions are also asked to conduct examinations of models before the semester exam and offer courses.
Circular directs the Directorate of Technical Education and the Collegiate Education Directorate to order all universities under their control and their universities to function with the full power of teaching and non-teaching staff.
Circular further asked the district collector to ensure higher educational institutions comply with instructions.
However, the university is considered, said the delay test will affect the internships and job opportunities for students who study in the final semester.
“The state will lose its competitive advantage because graduating students will join late.
Students who have internships in famous organizations from January will face problems.
Students continue abroad also cannot go,” said a university official who is considered.
