Chennai: Collywood Movie Director M Thiagarajan was found dead near AVM Studio in Vadunglani on Wednesday.
Director is known for films such as ‘Caval Manager’ starring Vijayakanth and ‘Vetri Mel Vetri’ starring Prabhu.
A native of Aruppukottai, Thiagarajan had returned a year ago to the city after spending decades in his village.
Because he did not find offers or work in the film industry, he lived in an emergency tent at Arcot Road.
Eyewitnesses said that the Director of Veteran Yesteryear went bankrupt and used to visit Amma’s canteen nearby quite often.
The police said Thiagarajan’s wife had left him after Tiff 15 years ago.
He lives alone since then, when his children live with his wife.
News about the film director who was sick came to light by Facebook post by some of his friends.
Social media is filled with a condolences after people learn about his death.
