CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government is currently in favour of running Class XII board examinations after Covid-19 instances fall. It carried its opinion to the Centre in a meeting onSunday chaired by Treasury minister Rajnath Singh and schooling ministry Ramesh Pokhriyal’Nishank’ on running Class XII final examinations and entrance exams for specialist classes.

“The central authorities mainly spoke running CBSE Class XII board examinations and if to run the examinations in July or even August. Each nation gave their own perspectives based on the prevailing situation ,” school instruction minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi told reporters after attending the internet assembly.

The central authorities gave time to express authorities until Tuesday to present their perspectives about conducting the board tests and entrance examinations.

“Class XII examinations are extremely important in deciding bigger research and professions for students. There’s absolutely not any use in providing them pass. All nations are still in favour of running the examination. Therefore, we’re also responsible for running the examination,” Poyyamozhi stated.

The Union schooling ministry also gave the choices to the nations including running objective type examinations and lowering the exam period from 3 weeks to one and half an hour.

On the other hand, the state authorities voiced its reservations on running the examination at a new blueprint.

“We asked for more clarity on those choices and we would talk with our main minister before choosing a last call. Our attention is on saving individuals by your Covid-19 pandemic. Based upon your health department’s report on decreasing cases from the country, we’ll have a last call,” he further added.

The state board colleges are maintaining the pupils occupied even through the lockdown by running online revision evaluations.

Schools in Chennai intend to run a fourth round revision evaluations from May 24 to June 1 and also unit-wise tests afterwards to maintain pupils prepared for board examinations. CBSE, nation board colleges have completed functional examinations for Class XII students.
