Coimbatore: A 14-year-old class X student, who was missing from his house in Sivanandapuram near Saravanampatti here on Saturday (11 Dec), was found killed at Yamunai Nagar in the same location on Thursday.
Wrapped in the bedsheet, the body unraveled was found in the middle of the bushes, where locals dispose of garbage.
City police have formed two special teams to arrest the killer.
A police officer said the girl, who had separated from her husband about eight years ago, has submitted a complaint with the police all Ramanathapuram women on Monday, which stated that her daughter disappeared from their home on Jalan Maruthi Nagar in Sivanandapuram on Saturday.
The officer said the girl, a higher government high school student, lived with her mother, a construction worker, grandmother and sister, who worked with a textile store.
“On Saturday morning, another family member went to work and the girl was alone at home.
When his mother returned around 4pm, the girl lost from home.
The woman tried to reach her daughter by telephone,” the officer said.
The girl connects her daughter friends and other relatives, but they all don’t understand about the existence of a little girl.
“The neighbor, who has a cellular refill shop, has seen the girl talking to someone by telephone around 10:30 a.m.
on the decisive day,” the officer said.
Based on the complaint of the woman, the police registered a case of missing people and the team led by Inspector Deungath Nisha began an investigation.
“We collected the details of the call from school girls and found him mostly talking to family members,” the officer said.
