Tamil Nadu Govt closed the school until January 31 because of the Covid-19 surge

Chennai: In the midst of a surge in the case of Covid-19, the Tamil Nadu government on Sunday stated holidays in schools for all classes until January 31.

The state government has also postponed scheduled tests held on January 19.

“Schools have been declared closed Tamil Nadu for all classes, due to an increase in the number of Covid19 cases in the state.
The test that should be held on January 19 is now postponed,” Read the release of the Tamil Nadu government.

Meanwhile, there are currently 1,31,007 cases of Active Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu.
