Erode: Tusker alone cannot resist the aroma of Jackfruits and damage the roof of the house and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) to eat fruit in the village of Congka near the Bargoror here at the early hours of Thursday.
According to K Amulraj, 50, from the village of Congka, he left the house around 3am because the wild dogs barked continuously.
“I was surprised to see wild Tusker in front of my house.
I immediately closed the main door and went inside.” He said the elephant walked around the house for a few minutes, before damaging the roof of the front side of the house.
“We have kept jackfruits at home.
It seems that the elephant tries to reach them.
Tusker then damages the SUV parked outside the house.

“After two hours of struggle, they managed to chase Tusker to go to the forest,” Amulraj said.
Amulraj warned Bargour forest officials, which have registered cases and investigations starting.
“We will take the steps needed to compensate for the amulraj for the loss,” said an officer.
