Chennai: The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the Kuncian will be extended from July 31 to August 9 without further relaxation.
The government observed that in several places, especially within city limits, people tend to be excessive thus paving the way for the Covid-19 virus to spread.
District collectors, corporate commissioners and police have been told to close these places to prevent density, according to official release on Friday.
Other locking norms will continue to valid until the next announcement.
