Tenkasi: Unhappy for his inter-religious love marriage, a man hacked his 19-year-old daughter to death, in a village near Alangulam in the Tekasi District early on Wednesday.
Victims were identified as Shalom Sheeba and the defendant, Marimuthu, 45, a shepherd.
The family has repented to Christian a few years ago.
Sheeba fell in love with S Muthuraj, 22, a daily wage worker from the same village.
Even though both are included in the same caste, their parents oppose their affair because of their different religions.
However, they married last year after the girl was 18 years old.
