Tamil Nadu: More than 1.25 Doses of Lakh Covid Vaccine Given at 5pm in Coimbatore on Sunday

Coimbatore: There is a good acceptance for a Covid-19 mass vaccination drive planned on Sunday in the Coimbatore district as 1.25 doses of the lakh vaccine given at 5 pm.
The district government has planned a vaccination camp at 1475 centers to autoculate 1.5 lakh people in one day on Sunday.
GS Sameran collector said that 1.25 doses of lakh were given in all districts with 2 hours to go to camps to end.
While they anticipate such a trend in the morning itself.
The neighboring district is asked to share excess doses so that more people can be inoculated if demand exceeds 1.5 lakh doses available.
“But it doesn’t materialize because there is a good demand for vaccines in other districts.
But there will be a similar drive next Saturday in certain places,” Collector said.
About 3000 staff were pressed for mass vaccination drives starting at 7 am for 12 hours.
Rural areas are given preferences where 1016 centers and a total of 151 camps within the city limits other than 308 camps within the city limit of coimbatore.
