Tamil Nadu: Now, Pay Rs 500 is good for not wearing a mask

Chennai: not wearing masks will now be charged a RS 500 because the Ministry of Health increases the good amount for non-compliance by changing the rules for the Tamil Nadu Public Health Law, 1939.
Previously, violators must be issued by RS 200 Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan and published In the State Gazette on Wednesday.
Amendments will allow officials to punish people who fail to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth.
“When people stepped out, they had to wear the right mask …
We have increased the coverage of vaccination mostly and most of our people are vaccinated with doubles.
While vaccination reduces the risk of disease and death, there is still a risk of infection,” said Director of Public Health Dr S Selva Vinayagam.
An ICMR survey in November showed that the use of masks was 32% in slums and 35% in non-slum areas in open spaces such as roads, markets and bus stops.
