Chennai: Tamil Nadu on Tuesday recorded 1,544 positive cases of new Coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the state counting to 26.25,778 cases.
With 19 deaths due to infection, the dead have increased to 35,055.
Four districts contribute to the maximum number of new cases.
While Coimbatore saw 217 new infections, Chennai recorded 194 cases followed by Chengalpattu with 112 and Erode 115.
Considering higher participants and cases reported every day on the higher side in Kerala country, the Tamil Nadu government has carried out mega covid vaccination Camps from September 12 to cover the left population that were not vaccinated over 18 years without thinning the daily vaccination drive, the Minister for Medical Welfare and the MA Subramanian family said.
