Chennai: Tamil Nadu reported 828 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday drop from 835 new cases on Tuesday.
While 21 districts reported a decline in cases, 17 districts reported cases in one digit.
At the end of the day, the state drew a sample of 1 lakh, issued 931 patients and reported nine deaths.
With this, the remaining state with 10,159 Covid-19 active cases.
Two districts – Chennai (127) and Coimbatore (101) – report cases in three digits.
While Coimbatore reported an increase from 98, Chennai reported a decline of 131 cases.
The two districts also have the highest number of active cases – Chennai (1,205), Coimbatore (1,132).
All other districts each have less than 1000 cases.
With 20 cases, the layer has the number of cases at least with one new case of every minor, tecaturation and then reports a few new cases in the state followed by two cases in Mayiladuthurai, Ramanathapuram and Villupuram.
The sharpest decline was reported from Thanjavur, where the case fell to 27 of 32 on Tuesday.
The sharpest increase was reported from Karur (where cases increased to 19 of 15 on Tuesday) and Virudhunagar (where cases rose to 7 out of 3 on Tuesday).
During the same time 15 other districts reported between one and three cases more than Tuesday.
Total tally touched 36,247 on Wednesday, when Chennai and Tiruvallur reported two deaths each and coimbatore, erode, chengalpet, karur and reported one of their respective deaths.
At least 31 of the 38 districts reported zero death.
