Tamil Nadu Registered 982 Covid-19 Fresh Infection, 13 Death

Chennai: Covid New Cases in Tamil Nadu fell to 782 on Wednesday from 789 on Tuesday.
In the end, 907 people were dismissed from the country’s registry and 13 deaths reported, leaving 9,211 people in the active registry.

Chennai (116) and Coimbatore (115) continued to report new cases in two digits when 27 districts reported cases below 20.

Kancheepuram reported 21 new cases compared to 17 on Tuesday.
At the same time, Namakkal reported 36 cases, up from 32.

Vaccination at a private hospital from May 1 touched 27.01 lakh.
“Of the 2,011 Covid-19 deaths between August and October, 84% are people who are not vaccinated.
The risk of people who are not vaccinated dying because Covid 3.5 times higher than people who are vaccinated,” said Public Health Director Dr.
TS Selvavinayagam.
While 75% of adults have taken the first dose, 35% of them have taken the second dose.
More than 70lash people have not taken the second dose of vaccines.
“We have sufficient vaccine stocks throughout the state.
We hope to see more people in vaccination centers on Thursday during the mega vaccination camp,” he said.
