Tamil Nadu reported 606 new Covid cases, 11 deaths

Chennai: Covid-19 Fresh Case in Chennai rose on Monday when the city reported 175 of the 606 new cases reported in the country.
Nine deaths took the victim to 36,744 since March 2020.
In the end, 663 people were sent home left 6,562 people undergoing viral treatment.
New cases in Chennai have increased from around 100 to 120 cases in the first week of November.
“Cases have gone up slowly in the city because the sample taken for tests has increased to more than 15,000 a day compared to 10,000 a few weeks ago,” said Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan.
“We see new clusters of family events, weddings, funerals, and workplaces every day.
In addition, international air passengers tested positively added to Chennai’s list,” he said.
However, most cases reported continued to have a Delta variant despite a strong indication of the transmission of the Omicron variant community, he said.
