Coimbatore: 10th grade girl in high school in ManickAnlayam from Tiruchengode was tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
The girl immediately shifted to the government hospital for care and 300 other people at school, including teachers were also tested.
“Fortunately there were no students and other staff tested positive after the test results came on Friday,” said District Education Officer Namakkal A Balumuthu.
Alternative settings have been made for students to continue their class from Friday.
About 280 students have attended classes on the first day reopened on Wednesday.
