Chennai: The State Labor Department will discuss unregistered construction workers, including migrant workers between countries, in special drives to vaccinate labor in the construction sector against Covid-19.
The department has also decided to vaccinate registered members of the Tamil Nadu Nadu Driver Welfare Board as part of the campaign.
The welfare board for construction workers and unorganized drivers will fund vaccination campaigns.
“The department has launched an exclusive drive to vaccinate registered members of the construction workers’ welfare council from June 25.
Now, has decided to cover all of these sector workers because more than 50% of workers have not been registered with the board.
Like the date, there are 12.13 registered members.

The state government’s decision will benefit greatly for most construction workers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
