Tamil Nadu Village is still free tobacco

Villupuram: A village in the District of Villupuram, which prohibits sales and consumption of tobacco products including cigarettes four decades ago, continues to provide examples for other villages to become tobacco free.
A clear majority of the three generations of the villagers of Elusempon, 20 km from the city of Villupuram, did not use tobacco products.
Some villagers who use tobacco products respect the dictates of the elders, past four decades ago, and come out of the village to consume it.

The villagers ask people to visit hamlets also not to smoke or consume tobacco products within the village limits.
