The opening of Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out from their two-test series in New Zealand in January due to a thumb injury, the Cricket Crisbuzz website reported on Tuesday.
The report quoted the Head of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Derashish Chowdhury said Tamim needed a month’s rest to recover from the injury he took last month.
Tamim, who chose to leave the Twenty20 World Cup this year with a lack of time the game when he recovered from a knee injury last week being ruled out from the series of two Bangladesh test houses against Pakistan, which began on Friday, due to injury.

“He met a doctor and they had advised him to take a one-month break even though he would not need any operation,” Chowdhury told Crisbuzz.
