Coimbatore: The Department of Religion and Hindu charity eliminates encroachment from the Temple land and takes property values about Rs 1 Crore in the city on Tuesday.
The land was taken by Bala Dhandayuthapan Temple managed by the HR and CE Department in Sukrawarpet.
Temple of the temple that measures several cents is spoiled and a hotel was built in a place many years ago.
Past efforts from the HR and CE departments to expel Enroachers have proven futile and the hotel owner refused to empty.
Meanwhile, HR and CE got a court order to take property.
Armed with court orders, HR and CE officials accompanied by income and police personnel visited the place on Tuesday.
Publish the last warning, they destroyed the hotel and took the land.
Police protection was given to the land to prevent the seizure from entering the ground.
Meanwhile, income officials flow to a clinic built on the land of encroachment at Sundarapuram triggered protest by a group of people who opposed drives demolition.
With the help of police personnel, the authorities lowered encroachment and warned that shrimp would be taken to the book.
