Tangguh and challenging schedule for NZ: stead

Dubai: New Zealand coach Gary Stead said his team roamed the schedule “Tangguh and challenging” when heading to India for the three-match T20 series, starting from three days after the World Cup T20 lost Australia.
New Zealand on Sunday lost by Australia by eight goals at the exhibition but Pase Kane Williamson would not have time to regroup because it faced India at the opening T20i in Jaipur on Wednesday.
This will be followed by the second and third T20IS on November 19 and November 21, before they started the defense of their world test championship with two matches in Kanpur and Mumbai.
“This is the first time I can remember that we are very fast into the other series immediately at the back end of the T20 World Cup,” quote words as quoted by ‘Espncricinfo’.
“It must be difficult and challenging but that is what is in front of us.” Test side members, which are not part of the T20 team, already in India.
It will be a busy time for kiwi support staff when they juggle by training the test players in the morning and the T20 Cricketers at night in the next few weeks.
“We already have nine-ten people in India, who are preparing for the exam match, and hopefully we can get up and have a very great performance against India.” New Zealand Cricketers have been in Bio-Bubble for a period of time that varies with 10 members of the T20 squad also competing in the IPL in the UAE which precedes the ICC event, while others like Glenn Phillips and Jimmy Neesham playing at a hundred.
There are other people like Martin Guptill, Mark Chapman and Ish Sodhi, who also live in UAE Bubble following the New Zealand’s decision to call their tour about Pakistan because of security problems in September.
In some good news for New Zealand, Pace Spearhead Lockie Ferguson, who missed the T20 World Cup due to a calf injury, is likely to return to action.
Ferguson, which is adjusted for only hours before the opening match of New Zealand against Pakistan in Sharjah, has continued Bowling on Nets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
“In terms of Lockie, I think he’s close enough,” said Stead.
“We will only make sure we go there, traveling is fine and there are no problems like snatching flights or something like that.
But I hope he will be available for selection, which will be fantastic.” With all the people who will get ready for a test match, we only need to make the call there – do we think it is in their best interests and also for the best interests of the team is that our test matches are more than we priority, I think, in the month Next rather than what will happen in the T20 match.
