Tanya, Harshit Enter the semifinals in the chess tournament

Kanpur: Asked Verma, Harshit Singh, Parth Bhatnagar and Vivan Shukla defeated their rivals and sailed to the semi-finals’ making Grandmasters Online Chess Tournament Series on Monday.
Wild card entries asked Verma justify his inclusion in the series when he defeated Shubhi Gunsta Ghaziabad.
Harshit Singh from GB Nagar caused upset, defeating Sankalp Sankatpi from Sonbhadra.
Parth Bhatnagar shared points with Ajay Santosh from GB Nagar in an Indian defense tie king which stretched up to 74 movements.
Vivan Shukla from Gorakhpur and Shreyas Raj also shared points in the first round tie.
But in the second half, they opened the game with Scotch and Vivan variations, playing with black, forced Shreyas to recognize the match.
