New Delhi: A Tanzania woman was arrested by CISF personnel at Delhi International Airport for allegedly carrying 70 bottles of remedies and several other drugs in unauthorized allegations, officials said on Monday.
Remdesivir is a limited drug used for the treatment of patients infected with Covid and cannot be exported without government licenses or licenses.
Syed Aiman Gulshanraza was intercepted and detained at the terminal-3 Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday night just before he took Ethiopian Airlines flight to Dar Es Salaam.
“On physical examination, various types of drugs, including 70 bottle of remedies’ injection was found.
The estimated cost of drug drugs is RS 3.5 Lakh,” Central Industry Security Officer (CISF).
Because the woman could not give any documents to bring drugs, she was handed over to the customs authority for further investigation.
