KABUL: The roadside bombing targeting Taliban vehicles in the eastern Afghanistan killed at least two civilians Saturday, including a child, Taliban and health officials.
Four others were injured.
Two bombs were detonated when the Taliban vehicle passed, killing one child, Ismatullah District Police Chief Mubariz said, adding that there was no malicious Taliban fighters.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but the group of Islamic countries was active in the East Nangarhar Province, where he had launched an attack that often targeted the Taliban.
A local hospital official said two bodies and four injured civilians were transferred to the hospital after the attack.
The official spoke with anonymous requirements because they were not authorized to warn the media.
