New Delhi: Delhi Food Security Department The government has formed a special task force to ensure that there is no forgery in the material used in food during the celebration season.
The task force consists of two official teams that have been asked to collect information related to food forgery from all the capitals and act against violators according to the law.
Neha Food Safety Commissioner Bansal said the department would ensure that the team would specifically collect information related to directors, food fraud, and non-compliance with security laws and food standards.
“The team will examine various manufacturing units, Mandis and other areas where this food product is sold and stored on a large scale.
Our idea is to stop the sale of these items before they reach the market,” said the IAS officer.
The task force will also set a special drive for products that are widely used during the celebration season.
“Two senior officer teams have been formed to check the special adulteration for materials used in celebration season such as milk, Khoya, Paneer, Ghee and oil,” Bansal said.
The department also drives awareness in various parts of the city to make the general public aware of information related to food security, forgery, and legal non-compliance through the Department of Assistance channel (1800113921) and e-mail ID (cfss.delhi@nic.
