Bengaluru: Union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEIT) on Wednesday said it has formed a unit of tasks to improve internet connectivity in Karnataka.
It was said that Taskforce was being sent to the country at the State Minister’s instructions at the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (Meity) Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
“Taskorce Meity consisting of an internet exchange officer of India (Nixi) and Indian software technology park (STPI) quickly started their visits and work.
They will visit each district and meet people.
They will also visit state government officials Section and send a report to the Minister, “said the official release by Meity.
During Jan Ashirwad Yatra was recently carried out by Chandrasekhar in six Karnataka District, there were many requests to increase speed and access to internet connectivity in the part of each district, after the minister promised that the Taskorce Meity would be sent to learn the same.
Chandrasekhar is a member of Rajya Sabha from Karnataka.
