Bengaluru: Minister of Premier and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar on Monday said the task force consisting of subject experts and members of the Covid Technical Advisory Committee will soon be formed to decide on the reopening of the school for learning on campus.
Referring to the Committee’s suggestion led by Dr.
Devi Shetty for decentralizing the decision to reopen the school and allow the district to call, the minister said, “The task force will decide when and how to reopen the school.
It will also decide vidyagama 2.0 which has been sued.”

The minister said “learning must be continuous and evaluated regularly – this is what will be considered by the task force”, adding the department will immediately issue a guide on the task force.

However, Health Minister K Sudhakar said he did not know the existence of a new task force to be formed.
“For advising the government about Covid management, we have a technical advisory committee.
Also, the high-level expert committee for prevention and management of Covid Wave-3 was formed under the leadership of Dr.
Devi Shetty and the Committee had submitted a temporary report.

Suresh Kumar said the exam date was discussed with CM.
