Chennai: Tiplers need to spend more for some foreign liquor popular because Tasmac has increased their effective prices from Wednesday.
The retail price of international brands is sold at Tasmac Elite Shops including Johnnie Walker Whiskey, Tanqueray London Dry Gin and Ciroc Vodka have been under the price revision ranging from Rs 170 to Rs 630 per bottle.
A command issued by Tasmac on Saturday, published on Tuesday, said the cost of liquor originating by the club and private bar – FL3 and FL2 license holders – from state-owned marketing companies have also been revised.
A list of imported foreign liquor has 17 varieties such as whiskey, vodka and gin.
The next order said that all Tasmac retail sellers must sell liquor brands at a revised price from September 1.
Tasmac Elite Shop Marketed nearly 200 foreign liquor varieties imported through more than 80 elite stores spread across the country.
