JAMSHEDPUR: South East Railway (SER) has announced it will continue Tatanagar-Amritsar Jallianwala Bagh Express from January 3, almost a month after it stops the winter fog train service.
This two-week train takes 33 hours to achieve its goals, including four states and 25 stations.
Sudden withdrawals from train services from November 29 to February 28 have disappointed many passengers from the Sikh community in the Jamshedpur area and Adityapur who took this train to and from Amritsar.
Jharkhand Gurudwara Prabandhak (JGPC) Committee member and Prabandhak Prabandhak (CGPC) Central Committee launched a demonstration at the Tananagar train station, looking for recovery of train service earlier this month.
Reacting to SER announcement, JGPC Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, “We are very happy with the development and in honor of our request.” He added, “Accelerated train will help a number of commuters traveling to Delhi Ludhiana and Amritsar, among others.” In the same vein, Jamshedpur Vastra Vikreta Sangh President Anil Modi said the Readymade cloth trader from two Jharkhand cities preferred to travel to Delhi and Ludhiana to get their shares.
Officials at Tananagar station said the order would continue immediately.
